Over the Easter long weekend, as I only get Monday off work, I have been up to some different things which I will try to explain now, as i listen to some Eric Prydz on youtube which I have been linked to by Alan McClean, as the plan is to see him on Monday night in Stiff Kitten (I'm writing this bit on Sunday night).
Green Zone
Friday night I went to the cinema to see 'Green Zone', a film starring Matt Damon about search for Weapons of Mass destruction in Iraq. Damon plays a chief soldier, fed up of finding no weapons, and takes it into his own hands to find out why. Unlike a lot of these war type films etc, I actually understood what was going on and gave a good perspective of the type of shenanigans that goes on in these wars. So overall a good choice of film to see.
We also went bowling that night and I was pretty awful as usual, using a technique that scored me 65.
United v Chelsea
Here was the worst part of the weekend. As it was Michael's (Pea Head's) birthday, me and others journeyed up to his drum to watch the game. United were beat 2-1, here are my views....
Park is not a striker, in fact he's barely a player. Playing alongside Berbatov, brutal. First half we were terrible, couldn't pass a ball like Tuesday night, and created nothin. Second half was better, the only problem was half our players were completely wrecked, for example Scholes was struggling to breathe.
Linesman pissed me off for their second. The most blatent, easiest to call offside you're likely to see all season and he misses it. Clown.
Changes are needed for next season, most importantly a front man. Buying Owen in the summer was always a risk, not a bad free buy but not the answer. As some may have predicted, he's missing the crunch time of the season. As good a talent as Macheda is, we cannot expect him to produce another Aston Villa everytime he comes off the bench. And Diouf, to put it quite simply, is shit.
Chelsea are in the driving seat for the league now. You cannot expect to win a league title losing seven games, simple.
Second part of Birthday plans was golf at Ice Bowl. This time it was for money, and as I'm quite a regular down at that golf, I thought I could be in with a shot. I scored my best ever round of 40 and won. That was scant consolation for the football. I was also unbeaten at FIFA which wasn't bad goin.
We went to the Mclub that night. It closed pretty early for easter but was a good night, loada laughs. Some highlights were the dancing lol, Benny as always, and throwing chips at drive thru cars in McDonalds.
On Sunday, as i’m not a regular at church, or even a part timer at church, i was struggling for something to do. So, as it was about the only thing opened, me and some friends took ourselves to junction one, antrim to experience their new pirates adventure mini golf. There were high expectations for this event, hoping it was as good, if not better than the ice bowl. It’s safe to say we were majorly disappointed.
Problems included:
- Only one course to choose from
Problems included:
- Only one course to choose from
- The surface was just like thick carpet, which led to every missed chance being greeted with “ice bowl that was in” and “sam’s yer man ya b**tard”.
- Being directed to the first hole, by some guy whose job was actually to direct people to the first hole. I can see the first hole, it says hole 1 right beside it.....
- Being filled with kids ages 2-4.
- The lack of craziness, taking the non crazy route because you knew if you went up the hill and through the pipe, you’d finish nowhere near the hole
- No tee off zones, a basic thing for mini golf.
- Their 18th hole, pretty impossible, and just assuming that if you miss the hole, you get a 3, just because we’ve played at the ice bowl....
- Not even being allowed on the stones, with Pirates adventure mini golf ‘bouncers’ acting like life guards at a swimmers.
- Me Losing
The good parts?
- The milf playing behind us (nothing to do with the golf itself off course lol)
- The milf playing behind us (nothing to do with the golf itself off course lol)
- walking out of the place.
Because of this debacle of a round, the Sunday night mini golf had to be redeemed, and so we went to the home of mini golf (ice bowl) to play a proper round.
18 quid on mini golf in two days may be classed as some sort of addiction lol. There are apparently mini golf clubs which i’d be interested in hearing about. Forget MMA, in 10 years time mini golf will over take proper golf and be the number 2 sport in the world behind football, obviously.

On Monday, my only day actually off work, i woke up about 1pm. I went into town, bought a t-shirt, ate a kfc and came home again. I also bought a ticket to see Swedish disk jockey eric prydz for 15 quid.
The night was at Belfast club ‘stiff kitten’ and so the 4 of us who were attending prepared for the night. Around 9pm we discovered that Prydz would not be making an appearance because his car broke down and he missed the boat. This led to an absolute barrel of abuse getting directed at Prydz and his car. Thankfully we got a refund, paid a fiver into the club and listened to some music. I got home at 2.30 am and didn’t sleep till 4am.
Tuesday morning, I have been sitting in work here for the last two hours, after getting up at 8am. I don’t even think the tiredness has hit me yet, I’m still functioning.

Also as I sit here I have come to the conclusion that I have Dermatophagia. I have not been to the doctors, even though I probably should, but i have just diagnosed myself. I could take a picture of my thumb and show some cuts but it would not be pretty.
Not Annoying: Buying a coke zero and wispa with a debit card, Sean Lock
That's that... ain't wrote in a while so thought I'd do somethin until next time :D
