Back

Decided to start this blogging game up again, been slacking, and I suppose its better than strolling through pointless internet sites, even if is only me and maybe a stalker of mine who will read it.

Events that have happened since last blog:

Me turning 22

World Cup

!2th July celebrations

So not much to talk about really.... off the tablets now, so drinking again, therefore nights out will probably become less memorable.

Turned on tv the other night and decided to watch Die Hard for the umpteenth time. Got me thinkin about the classic Playstation game Die Hard Trilogy, and classic John McLean and other character phrases used in the game. Here are the ones I remember....

Yippie Ki Yay

Wanna stay alive, stay with me

Ho ho ho , i got a machine gun

Wheres the turkey, its Christmas

Happy trails (while wingin a grenade to about 7 people)

Ahhhh thats better (wonder medi pack with only a slice of life left)

Get the hell outta here! (Hostages, awful distraction)

NYPD, hey, this aint even my jurisdiction

BYE BYE BAD GUY!

Told you we’d make it (just as the 30 seconds timer appears to find the lift and dispose the bomb, off which on many occasions the lift was never found, the bomb explodes, the building is up in flames and nobody made it at all)

One more like that and i’m a goner

There is firing in the terminal!

You’re supposed to stay in your seat until the plane reaches the terminal

Get him

Take this Yankee

Arrrrgggghhhh (while flailing in a pool of blood)

Don’t let him get away

Don’t shoot

Help me!! (then shoot them for a laugh)

Pleeeeeease Help meeee! (even more desperate)

Gonna try and blog some more and not let this post be the only one in about 3 months. Lottery numbers are about to be drawn............................................. 1 number

Easter Break Friday - Tuesday - tecnically easter

Over the Easter long weekend, as I only get Monday off work, I have been up to some different things which I will try to explain now, as i listen to some Eric Prydz on youtube which I have been linked to by Alan McClean, as the plan is to see him on Monday night in Stiff Kitten (I'm writing this bit on Sunday night).

Green Zone

Friday night I went to the cinema to see 'Green Zone', a film starring Matt Damon about search for Weapons of Mass destruction in Iraq. Damon plays a chief soldier, fed up of finding no weapons, and takes it into his own hands to find out why. Unlike a lot of these war type films etc, I actually understood what was going on and gave a good perspective of the type of shenanigans that goes on in these wars. So overall a good choice of film to see.

We also went bowling that night and I was pretty awful as usual, using a technique that scored me 65.

United v Chelsea

Here was the worst part of the weekend. As it was Michael's (Pea Head's) birthday, me and others journeyed up to his drum to watch the game. United were beat 2-1, here are my views....

Park is not a striker, in fact he's barely a player. Playing alongside Berbatov, brutal. First half we were terrible, couldn't pass a ball like Tuesday night, and created nothin. Second half was better, the only problem was half our players were completely wrecked, for example Scholes was struggling to breathe.

Linesman pissed me off for their second. The most blatent, easiest to call offside you're likely to see all season and he misses it. Clown.

Changes are needed for next season, most importantly a front man. Buying Owen in the summer was always a risk, not a bad free buy but not the answer. As some may have predicted, he's missing the crunch time of the season. As good a talent as Macheda is, we cannot expect him to produce another Aston Villa everytime he comes off the bench. And Diouf, to put it quite simply, is shit.

Chelsea are in the driving seat for the league now. You cannot expect to win a league title losing seven games, simple.

Second part of Birthday plans was golf at Ice Bowl. This time it was for money, and as I'm quite a regular down at that golf, I thought I could be in with a shot. I scored my best ever round of 40 and won. That was scant consolation for the football. I was also unbeaten at FIFA which wasn't bad goin.

We went to the Mclub that night. It closed pretty early for easter but was a good night, loada laughs. Some highlights were the dancing lol, Benny as always, and throwing chips at drive thru cars in McDonalds.

On Sunday, as i’m not a regular at church, or even a part timer at church, i was struggling for something to do. So, as it was about the only thing opened, me and some friends took ourselves to junction one, antrim to experience their new pirates adventure mini golf. There were high expectations for this event, hoping it was as good, if not better than the ice bowl. It’s safe to say we were majorly disappointed.

Problems included:

- Only one course to choose from

- The surface was just like thick carpet, which led to every missed chance being greeted with “ice bowl that was in” and “sam’s yer man ya b**tard”.

- Being directed to the first hole, by some guy whose job was actually to direct people to the first hole. I can see the first hole, it says hole 1 right beside it.....

- Being filled with kids ages 2-4.

- The lack of craziness, taking the non crazy route because you knew if you went up the hill and through the pipe, you’d finish nowhere near the hole

- No tee off zones, a basic thing for mini golf.

- Their 18th hole, pretty impossible, and just assuming that if you miss the hole, you get a 3, just because we’ve played at the ice bowl....

- Not even being allowed on the stones, with Pirates adventure mini golf ‘bouncers’ acting like life guards at a swimmers.

- Me Losing

The good parts?

- The milf playing behind us (nothing to do with the golf itself off course lol)

- walking out of the place.

Because of this debacle of a round, the Sunday night mini golf had to be redeemed, and so we went to the home of mini golf (ice bowl) to play a proper round.

18 quid on mini golf in two days may be classed as some sort of addiction lol. There are apparently mini golf clubs which i’d be interested in hearing about. Forget MMA, in 10 years time mini golf will over take proper golf and be the number 2 sport in the world behind football, obviously.

On Monday, my only day actually off work, i woke up about 1pm. I went into town, bought a t-shirt, ate a kfc and came home again. I also bought a ticket to see Swedish disk jockey eric prydz for 15 quid.

The night was at Belfast club ‘stiff kitten’ and so the 4 of us who were attending prepared for the night. Around 9pm we discovered that Prydz would not be making an appearance because his car broke down and he missed the boat. This led to an absolute barrel of abuse getting directed at Prydz and his car. Thankfully we got a refund, paid a fiver into the club and listened to some music. I got home at 2.30 am and didn’t sleep till 4am.

Tuesday morning, I have been sitting in work here for the last two hours, after getting up at 8am. I don’t even think the tiredness has hit me yet, I’m still functioning.

Also as I sit here I have come to the conclusion that I have Dermatophagia. I have not been to the doctors, even though I probably should, but i have just diagnosed myself. I could take a picture of my thumb and show some cuts but it would not be pretty.

Annoying: Stupid red cards (i'm finishing this off on wednesday night), sore eyes because of no sleep

Not Annoying: Buying a coke zero and wispa with a debit card, Sean Lock

That's that... ain't wrote in a while so thought I'd do somethin until next time :D

late night boredom

Ain't done this blogging in a while. It's currently 2.24am Sunday morning as the clocks have went forward and i have set myself the target of finishing this by 2.30am so i can go to bed.

Football today (saying 'today' really means Saturday) we won 5-3, which was our first league win of the season, and United mauled Bolton 4-0, so footballing wise it was an excellent day.

This Saturday evening i just sat in the house. I watched 'Almost Famous'. Which was surprisingly quite good. It's about a kid who follows a rock band about, writing for Rolling Stone magazine, but theres some good songs and stuff in it and it took two hours out of a Saturday night i'd have otherwise wasted by flicking tv, excessively tweeting or going on facebook every two minutes. You know it's bad when you go back on facebook and there havent been any updates since the last time you checked (60 seconds ago :|).

I did buy a Burger King tonight. I know it's all 'foreigners' that work in the joint, but when you emphasise the word 'plain', you sorta hope that your burger will be plain. It wasn't. Dinner ruined.

Yesterday, I purchased a t-shirt online, a Guetta style.... well not really but ive seen him wearin it so it'll do, and its a nice t-shirt so i was willing to pay the money for it.

Tomorrow (technically today) is Sunday already, which will probably involve the usual, lie in, dinner, internet, golf. Since work began, weekends seem shorter than an actual day in work.

I forgot to do the lottery tonight, which is poor, coz i won 10 quid on Wednesday, so it could have been even luckier tonight. I've said before that the lottery is clearly the best thing goin, even though it's highly highly unlikely that i will ever win and be a millionaire, it's still the best chance that i ever will be a millionaire, so I do it. Some guy not so long ago won two and a half million and claimed he'd be back driving buses the next day. Would yee?

There's currently no-one online on facebook which is the first time i've ever witnessed that, and it's 2.41am, so i failed by 11 minutes.

Adios

Kelly and delight

Sitting here typing before Inter v Chelsea begins, which was the exact same scenario 2 weeks ago. Inter won 2-1 so we're lookin for a repeat of that. Eto'o starts so that's good news.

This week was mainly all about the trip to Manchester to watch united v Milan, which I blogged about previously. Since coming back from Manchester though, I've been strugglin with a cold and cough, which was the main reason i struggled to last a half on Saturday. We were beat 4-1 anyway so best forgot about.

Been eatin quite a lot of delighted meals recently aka McDonalds, Subway, Wispas. Recent trips to McDonalds at Conswater has increased our sightings of their black employee Kelly. Not sure what his actual job entails, as we've only seen him readin a paper in the place and takin food out to the cars parked in bay 1 and 2. His attire for a McDonalds employee is quite ace. Unfortunately i haven't got a photo of him and he doesn't appear to have a facebook, but il get a photo some time surely.

Sunday - Mother's Day, which meant going out for some food. Didn't work out well as i only seen the first half of the United game, certainly not the best 45 minutes of the game, as all 3 goals were scored in the second half. A good win all the same though and it's tight at the top. Unfortunately things didn't get much better as the traditional Sunday night mini golf was missed because of a certain someones brutal decision to go to Coleraine (lol). So instead we took a later trip to do some bowlin, and re-affirm my position as an awful bowler.

Because of that, we decided to hit the golf last night (Monday). An added golfer in Phil Leckey brought the squad to 4 people. That was over then some football was played, so was a good Monday night after working late.

On Saturday night I went to bed about 4 am because I was watchin stupid tv. I did come across this film though called 'Man About Dog'. A local production, full of West Belfast cretins and terrible behaviour, but you could relate and it made me laugh so boom.

Annoying: Petrol pumps that don't work, St Patrick day decorations, coughing

Not Annoying: World football magazine's in depth look at global soccer, Magnum lollys.

United 4-0 AC Milan

Yesterday I attended the last 16 Champions League game between United and AC Milan, a game in which United mauled the Italians 4-0. In attendance for the trip was me, Ryan aka Magee, Michael aka Pea Head, and Glen aka G. Left the house at 11.30am on Wednesday and was back at 1.20am Thursday morning.

This was our view from the stand, as the players lined up for the Champions League theme.

Highlights in no particular order:

- Learning from the pub quiz machine that Kronenbourg beer actually originated in France
- Short plane journeys
- Gerald Magee lol
- Pea Head not gettin a badge with a date on it lol
- Standing in the beer garden on a dry day surrounded by United fans
- Two hours straight chanting in the bar with random United supporters
- Match day burgers
- The result obviously
- A sea of green and yellow anti glazer chants
- Beckham's reception
- Some guy from Radio1 asking us for a match prediction and favourite Beckham haircut
- Burnley drawing 1-1 with Stoke

Not highlights:

- HP's being dented
-That 'Welcome to Belfast' sign at Aldergrove... one of the most depressing things ever.

Week Happenings - Golf Win

Ain't got much to blog about (on this site 'blog' actually comes up as a spelling error :S, weird) but the last two Mondays I've blogged, and since it's a break in Hollyoaks, I might as well start.

The weather this week has been a major plus. Sun shining and no wind or rain, even if sunsets driving home from work are blinding me. Makes me look forward to summer more. A summer of which I have no plans, but hopefully a holiday. I do however, have good intentions of someday going fishing on a good day. There are some alternate lyrics to that song which me and some friends might sing but we'll leave that.

After watching 'Extreme Fishing with Robson Greene', and seeing how he was catching loads of stuff in South Africa, by standing on an island of rocks, in awful weather conditions and the head gettin blew off him... I'm now convinced I want my fishing experience to be the complete opposite. That is, a warm day, hat and shorts on, sitting on a bank with some music, a carryout and a fishing rod. So we'll see.

One thing that was achieved this weekend was a victory in mini golf. After Alan McClean's awful boasts of '1 defeat in 10' he was quickly floored with an average, but winning round of 47.

The 6's were unlucky on my part.

We go to that golf so often that the guys that work there actually recognize us and acknowledge us. The girl's words on Sunday when handing over the card "you know the routine by now".

Something I wouldn't advise is walking into Currys 10 minutes before closing time, as I did on Friday night with my chum. No one else in the shop, I was interested to see what scanners were available, and what price they were these days. Looking at one for £50, which I was never gonna buy, the most desperate salesperson ever, was trying to convince me to go for a '3 in 1' for £100. Using certain scenarios such as 'have you ever been walking out your door and thought, oh no i need to do a quick scan of this", he desperately riddled off all the 'qualities' it had. In my head I was thinking ... No, I have never needed to do that, little do you know I only want the scanner to put a couple of photos on Facebook, and probably won't be used again... but i just nodded my head and said ok. In another desperate plea, he made his way to one for £150, and that was the moment to make an exit. We walked out of the shop coming to the conclusion he needed to make that sale to keep his job. I really hope that was the case, and he is now looking up the number to the closest job centre for tomorrow morning.

Also this week I had a trip to the hospital. Been told its medication for another month, which means another 4 weeks off the sauce. That's exactly 3 months this week and I must say I have felt some benefits. Mainly money in my wallet, not shouting things loudly and singing on a Saturday night, and not feeling like crap the next day, but apart from that, that's it.

Wednesday is all about me hittin Old Trafford, Manchester to watch United v AC Milan. Last time I was there was earlier in the season, watching them beat Arsenal 2-1 , so a repeat scoreline would do nicely.

Song: The original's pretty good too but been listening to this remix quite a lot.

Noticing that only half the video is showing, but you only need to listen, and i couldn't be arsed fixin it :)

Football Life

Having read some other blogs on this site (proper ones), I thought I'd actually do some proper writing about something I can talk about, and me playing football is that thing.

Football is something I'm very passionate about and have played for the last 13-14 years, or tried to at least.

First team was Shorts, under 10s, back in the good old days. Still to this day probably the best team I've played in. King George pitches every week to hammer teams 11 and 12 nil, to win us the league. Unfortunately we were beat in the cup final that year. Good players in that team with kits that were about 4 sizes too big.

Season after brought new management, new players and new kits to Shorts fc. A team which would have been more successful had St Andrews not been in our league. Still won a cup, runner up in the league a good few times, and runner up in the Blackpool cup after an epic penalty shoot-out. Some thrilling games in the league, and cup trips to Londonderry, Cookstown and the likes. Prize day was also a good laugh, wearin your favourite football top and collecting as many vouchers as possible for a plate of chips. After a few seasons managers decided to bail out. The team was in limbo, no das were willing to take on the pressures of managing the side. I do vaguely remember some fat bloke nicknamed 'Pringle'(dunno how I remember this to be honest), saying he would take on the job. We had one training session with him, where he told us he was busy on Saturday mornings. As being available on Saturday mornings is actually quite important in managing a junior football team, the idea of him taking over was scrapped, and so the team was wrapped up.

A lot of us decided to try our hand at Knockbreda fc. It was here where I first played under Willy Manley, at about the age of 16, someone who would later on in my career, be partly responsible for where it is now. Knockbreda, again weren't a bad side. Unfortunately I wasn't playing as regularly as I would have liked, and took the decision to leave with a mutual termination of my phantom contract.

A few months in the wilderness, doing nothing on Saturday mornings apart from lyin in bed or watchin sm:tv live followed by cd:uk, until pre season arrived and I received a call from one Dee Gallagher. A coach at my former club Shorts, and he had now taken over at Knockbreda and wanted me to return. In a Defoe type Tottenham situation, only I wasn't as successful, I returned to Knockbreda. It was here where I would witness first hand what it was like for those teams we used to hammer 11 or 12 nil. Turning up on Saturday mornings, sometimes with not even 11 players and suffering heavy defeats by the likes of Newbridge and Plunkett, there were really no good moments to savour, and so at the end of the season, that was that.

18 and not contracted to a club, it was then that my career would take a change of direction, when I was persuaded to join old boys side 5th B. Just like the younger days, playing in Ormeau Park, Victoria Park, etc and sometimes having no changing rooms to change in. It was a tough and physical league, but I enjoyed my football there, playing regularly and scoring goals. The second season wasn't to be so successful. Results took a turn for the worse until a game down in Carrick, after getting absolutely hammered, the decision was took there and then to wrap the team up and finish it.

Once again I was without a club, before making a short term move to Civil Service, like Larsson at United, chipping in with a few goals but deciding it wasn't the club for me.

It was down at East Belfast's Inverary pitch, watching my old school Grosvenor playing in a cup semi final, when I was approached by the man himself, Willy Manley. He told me he was taking over Knockbreda 2nds team and was looking to get all the old players back. Rolling off names and how he had persuaded them back, he told me to think about it. I did, and with no other viable options on the table, I returned to Knockbreda for a third time. There was no pre-season, and it was quite a shambles set up, but Manley, and assistant John Rice were optimistic for the season ahead. They shouldn't have been. That first season we must have used in excess of 30 players, some who didn't know each other, most who'd never played together, and thrown into the toughest 2nds league the Amateur League had to offer. I think in that season, out of roughly 8 positions, I played 6. My versatility had slightly improved if anything, even if my goalscoring rate had decreased season by season.

Inevitably we finished bottom. For the first time in my career I had suffered the humiliation of relegation. League 3B, and things weren't looking any better. New personnel arrived in the form of Graham Wallace, Harry McKee and hardcore fan Davy Peckenham, as well as John Rice popping in and out to give words of wisdom, but to no avail. Once again results were pathetic. Willy Manley's constant tirades of "we have a good wee side if we get everyone back" were fooling no one but himself. Bottom of the league again, successive relegations. Abismal. It got to the stage no one really took the games seriously, knowing we were going out just to keep the score down against the likes of Newington and Abbey Villa. Even playing first team players couldn't help.

I actually enjoyed my time there off the pitch. Good laughs were had and I did get a number of run outs for the 1st team under Roy Bennett and later Hugh Sinclair, so not all was lost. With Knockbreda 1st team being the complete opposite of the 2nds, and winning games, they took the move to the Irish League, leaving Knockbreda 2nds in the lurch.

The decision was made to united Knockbreda 2nds with Carryduff fc, just like Hayes & Yeading United have done, only they both had managers, pitches, and enough players. However the merge was formed and the team was just called Carryduff, as basically what had happened was a lot of Knockbreda players just signed for Carryduff and there wasn't actually a merge at all. The surprise decision was made to make Willy Manley and Davy Peckenham as managers. I had the feeling, as did many others, that it wouldn't work. We were proved right. One win in 4 months wasn't the return chairman Geordie was anticipating and so I received the call from Willy Manley that both managers had resigned. It was no real surprise, but Manley surely has hope that he will one day work with his Knockbreda players again some day.

I am still playing for Carryduff, under new manager Billy Woods. One win in the cup and still bottom of the league, things don't look good, but who knows. Well most people know that another win will be hard to come by to be fair.

I've a few medals and trophies from my playing days, which I've kept for good memories. The only chance of a medal this season comes in the form of the Clarence Cup (lol), where we play Ballynahinch tomorrow in the next round..... we'll see.

At still only 21, I hope I will have many years playing football still to come. Who knows where but there may well be more stories to tell.

Till then, farewell

Favourite footballers, past and present

As i'm quite bored before i go to play football myself, I thought i would list who i consider to be my favourite footballers. I've compiled the list with footballers from my lifetime, and who i remember watching, which obviously rules out some of the greats.

As a United supporter, it would be easy to list all current and former players, so i've refrained from doing that. The list has been generated with players I like, simply because of their ability, who they are, what they've done or even performance on certain video games... so here goes.

Past

Higuita - Colombian goalkeeper, simply because of his performance in the 94 World Cup, acting as a go-between for cocaine smugglers, being kidnapped and doing a scorpian kick against England.

Weah - Goal machine in Italy, not so good at Chelsea. Scored a wonder goal from the halfway line for Milan. Claimed an African team would win the World Cup by 2014.... looks unlikely.

Valderrama - Colombian midfielder who had the most recognizable hair of his generation.

Batistuta - 'Batigol' - my best memory of him unfortunatley is him scoring a blistering effort for Fiorentina against United's Mark Bosnich. He did score a lot of other goals though. His performances in International Superstar Soccer for the Nintendo under the alias of 'Fuerte', were nothing short of sensational.

Bebeto - Brazilian forward who formed a lethal partenership with Romario in 94. Known widely for a Bebeto volley and his cradle celebration, which almost everyone decided to re-create in school.

Ibrahim Ba - French international who was black and had white hair and looked like a pint of Guiness. A midfield Djibril Cisse of his day.

Solskjaer - Scored winning goal in European cup final in 99 along with many others.

Cantona - Favourite player ever. Legend.

Present

Eto'o - Cameroon striker, favourite non-united player. Goal scorer who's broke many records. Enjoyed watching him at Mallorca, Barcelona and now Inter.

Engelaar - Dutch midfielder who in Euro 2008 ran proceedings. Big and makes tackles and passes easily. Plays at PSV.

Chiellini - Juventus centre back. Lifts people for fun. Certainly a 'no-nonsense' player.

Jay Bothroyd - Basically for his free kixks and the time he got sent off for Blackburn against Norwich for turning round and bootin some guy.

Darren Moore - Barnsley centre back. Awful player but his defending is comedy gold.

Simeon Jackson - Plays for Canada and Gillingham. Like a Defoe type player and scores some wonder goals in League 1.

Torbinski - Russian left winger I saw in Euro 2008 and he looked class when he was playing. Scored against Holland and plays for Locomotive Moscow.

Iniesta - Could have picked Xavi as well, but Iniesta is a better dribbler of the ball, and can control a game so easily.

Hernanes - Brazilian midfielder at Sao Paulo. Seen him in the Olympics and he was immense, but haven't seen much of him since. Tipped for a move to Europe and hoping he makes Brazil's World Cup squad.

Mohammed Idrossu - Cameroon centre forward and i only like him because of his epic partnership with Eto'o in pro evolution soccer, and his severe aerial presence.

Pato - Seen him at Internacionale in Brazil and he was a different class. Only 20, will be one of the best players in the world in a few years.

Ronaldo - As in Brazilian 'fat' Ronaldo. His goalscoring record for club and country is sublime. A fully fit and in form Ronaldo is probably the best player I've seen in my generation. Still bangin them in for Corinthians.

I'm sure there's quite a lot I've left out and just forgot about really. But at the minute I think It's a pretty good list.

Football, shopping, biscuits and random material.

Tonight, i'm just back from playing some more football... five days a week im playing soccer now and i'm enjoying it.

This is Neil Mannus in nets after conceding a goal. I think it's fair to sayhe picked the ball out of that net on more than the odd occasion. I was shooting against him.

Took a trip to town on Saturday as I had no football game for the first time in a few months. My shopping trips have been somewhat a disaster recently. Looking for a new pair of jeans can be harder than it sounds, as I think I have brought five pairs home now which haven't fit. I suppose it might be easier to try them on in the shop, but aww well.

Also in looking for a t-shirt that is worn by dj David Guetta, hasn't happened yet. Can see no t-shirts of his in any shops, bar a red Lacoste one at 60 quid, which at the minute, even though it's unlikely I'll buy it, is still the most likely option. Either that or an online purchase perhaps.

To be honest the best thing about the trip to town that day was this jazz band i saw in Victoria Square.

It's hard to see but its those red stands down the back.... I severely misjudged the distance I was from them.

This week, I have also came to the conclusion that my favourite biscuit is a Fox Classic....

'Crumbly honeycomb biscuit covered in real milk chocolate' - doesn't describe the cream bit in the middle which is the best part to be honest.

I've a dilemma whether to buy a new scanner or not. I can afford it but i don't know if I'd actually use it after this week. A bit like the microphone i bought just to shout during an msn conversation for one day, and hasn't been used since, only cost me a fiver though to be fair.

Musically and non musically, I like Shakira. Her new song 'Gypsy' is pretty different and after watching the video (here because i can't embed it) I have came to the conclusion that Rafa Nadal is a lucky guy, and I now quite hate him.

On a final note, congratulations to Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson on winning another trophy at the weekend, and lets hope there's more to come this season.

ps. Lynx Twist is not as good as the advert suggests...

For now, that is all.

Old School...

Came across some old photos and clippings yesterday which i thoughts i'd post. Unfortunately my scanner has been broke for the last 4 and a half years so it's amateurish photos of photographs that will have to do!

This is me down at Shorts mini soccer when i was about 8, weaving through people in classic united kit that had Old Trafford imprinted on it lol

Not sure why this photo was taken, but it's at Shorts again, wearin grey United kit this time.

This was me with Roy lol... before some ex-irish league players game in which I kept a ball up on the sideline while watchin aul boys try and show they've still got it lol

This was Shorts fc before some cup game if i remember rightly, and it was taken at Mourneview possibly, it was a long time ago.

School football final back in 2005 when Grosvenor Grammar won the Northen Ireland cup.

Week Happenings and other such things.....

Hello

This is the first proper post from myself on this blog site. Usually its just going to contain happenings and pictures about me, so that's where we'll start.

I'm just back from playing football, which i do quite often, and my legs are sore, but was good fun. Unfortunately my dinner tonight has only consisted of a cheeseburger from McDonalds, which isn't so fun.

At the weekend I had some luck. I won £1 on a scratchcard, even if i spent £2 on it, and also won this from a 'claw grabs teddy' machine...

This was won in the Dundonald Ice Bowl on my first attempt. Fair enough i did have 30 attempts in the Odyssey Arena (at 50p a go) without success, but it literally was impossible to win. Given this success on Sunday, and going with the theory 'all good things come in three', Idecided to buy a lottery ticket for tonight's draw (Wednesday). My numbers are 4 9 15 43 44 45 and 5 8 16 19 22 26..... they were lucky dips coz them numbers mean nout to me.

During my lunch hour I seen a motorhome for sale which i would seriously consider buying...

.... but it ain't gonna happen so thats that. The guy did however park it immaculately in a tight space in the Connswater car park.

I've new neighbours coming soon apparently, I've got clues as to who it may be, but don't know yet, I'll just have to wait.

Last night i enjoyed watching United beat West Ham 3-0. Point behind Chelsea, played a game more, still a long way to go. Speaking of Chelsea, im currently watching them getting beat by Inter Milan 2-1 which is good to see.

Been listening to some old Gorillaz stuff lately, they've a new album out next month.

Don't know when il blog again, when i feel like it and i've somehin to say probably :D

Annoying: Cars pulling out on me when I'm cruising at a good pace, my hair growing too quickly, my computer prompting me to restart every five minutes.

Not annoying: Finding a quick and easy link to the new episode of 'Lost', this can of 7UP im currently drinking - 'Good times are always within your grasp'.
