Week Happenings - Golf Win

Ain't got much to blog about (on this site 'blog' actually comes up as a spelling error :S, weird) but the last two Mondays I've blogged, and since it's a break in Hollyoaks, I might as well start.

The weather this week has been a major plus. Sun shining and no wind or rain, even if sunsets driving home from work are blinding me. Makes me look forward to summer more. A summer of which I have no plans, but hopefully a holiday. I do however, have good intentions of someday going fishing on a good day. There are some alternate lyrics to that song which me and some friends might sing but we'll leave that.

After watching 'Extreme Fishing with Robson Greene', and seeing how he was catching loads of stuff in South Africa, by standing on an island of rocks, in awful weather conditions and the head gettin blew off him... I'm now convinced I want my fishing experience to be the complete opposite. That is, a warm day, hat and shorts on, sitting on a bank with some music, a carryout and a fishing rod. So we'll see.

One thing that was achieved this weekend was a victory in mini golf. After Alan McClean's awful boasts of '1 defeat in 10' he was quickly floored with an average, but winning round of 47.

The 6's were unlucky on my part.

We go to that golf so often that the guys that work there actually recognize us and acknowledge us. The girl's words on Sunday when handing over the card "you know the routine by now".

Something I wouldn't advise is walking into Currys 10 minutes before closing time, as I did on Friday night with my chum. No one else in the shop, I was interested to see what scanners were available, and what price they were these days. Looking at one for £50, which I was never gonna buy, the most desperate salesperson ever, was trying to convince me to go for a '3 in 1' for £100. Using certain scenarios such as 'have you ever been walking out your door and thought, oh no i need to do a quick scan of this", he desperately riddled off all the 'qualities' it had. In my head I was thinking ... No, I have never needed to do that, little do you know I only want the scanner to put a couple of photos on Facebook, and probably won't be used again... but i just nodded my head and said ok. In another desperate plea, he made his way to one for £150, and that was the moment to make an exit. We walked out of the shop coming to the conclusion he needed to make that sale to keep his job. I really hope that was the case, and he is now looking up the number to the closest job centre for tomorrow morning.

Also this week I had a trip to the hospital. Been told its medication for another month, which means another 4 weeks off the sauce. That's exactly 3 months this week and I must say I have felt some benefits. Mainly money in my wallet, not shouting things loudly and singing on a Saturday night, and not feeling like crap the next day, but apart from that, that's it.

Wednesday is all about me hittin Old Trafford, Manchester to watch United v AC Milan. Last time I was there was earlier in the season, watching them beat Arsenal 2-1 , so a repeat scoreline would do nicely.

Song: The original's pretty good too but been listening to this remix quite a lot.

Noticing that only half the video is showing, but you only need to listen, and i couldn't be arsed fixin it :)
